About:

I am Alisa Hardy, a scholar, educator and activist working specializing in the dynamic confluence of digital media, Black studies, and rhetorical theory and communication. I am currently PhD candidate in the Department of Communication at the University of Maryland. I am diligently pursuing the completion of two graduate certificates: one in Digital Studies in the Arts and Humanities and the other Woman Gender Sexuality Studies certificate. Prior to my current academic pursuits, I achieved my M.A. at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a concentration in Rhetorical Leadership. My scholarship has appeared in Communication and Critical Cultural Studies, Woman’s Studies of Communication and Rhetoric Society Quarterly.
